Stay eligible to play
Elementary athletics eligibility at SLAM Nevada has two tracks, plus one mid-season grade check. Track 1 is the weekly classroom check. Track 2 is attendance and the athletic director's final call. They are separate.

Weekly · academics
Classwork completed, homework turned in, keeping up in class.
Weekly · behavior
Respect, effort, good choices, following school and classroom rules.
Track 1 · weekly Friday check
Homeroom marks academics and behavior on Fridays.
Weekly check dates
Once a week, on Friday. Past dates show as done.
Track 1 ladder
A green week means good standing and wipes out earlier trouble on the ladder.
First red week
The athlete still plays. Family and coach get an email.
Second consecutive
The athlete sits out the next game. After it is served, they start clean. A later bad week starts Probation again. It does not stack into a longer ban.
Reset
Good standing. A green week wipes out earlier trouble on the ladder. The two bad weeks must be back to back.
Track 2 · separate from the weekly ladder
Game day
Students must attend school on the day of a practice or competition. Miss school that day and they may not practice, try out, play, or race that same day.
Appointments
For medical appointments or prearranged absences, check in or out through the front office. Any partial or full-day absence needs an excused parent note on file.
Red flag
Students who are chronically absent are ineligible for athletics. Attendance matters before the season and during the season.
Practice
Consistent practice attendance is part of game eligibility. Each head coach sets the team practice policy and will work with students in other school activities when possible.
Track 2 · one mid-season check
If a student has an F, they are suspended for a game.
Track 2
Students are expected to represent SLAM with positive behavior, academic effort, and teamwork. Final eligibility and discipline decisions rest with the athletic director.
